Volunteer Spotlight

KC Rescue is very lucky to have some amazing and dedicated volunteers! They help out the shelter in many different ways!

Here are some of their stories:

Volunteer Jaxson with Feline Jackson

Our names are: Shyleah, Jenn and Jaxon Kerr.

We live in Cut Knife, SK. and have been volunteering at KC rescue for 6 months.

We are happy when the cats find their forever homes and wish them well but we also miss them.

Jaxon’s favorite part of volunteering at KC is getting to visit the shelter regularly, interacting with all the cats and he loves meeting the newcomers.

We have 3 cats of our own: Jace, Heart and Gizzy.

Shyleah’s most memorable experience at KC was in orientation and we first met Whiskey, she loved him immediately!

Our names are Isabelle and Alison Timms, we live in Unity and have been volunteering at KC Rescue for around one year. At home we have three cats, two dogs, a hamster as well as a fish and are a family of animal lovers!! so naturally volunteering at KC Rescue was a no brainer for us. We love to spend time caring for and feeding all the adorable cats that’s come in and out of KC Rescue, it’s has truly been a heartwarming experience to get to be even a small part of all the sweet cats life’s during our time at KC’s and I couldn’t think of a better way to give back to our town. One of my favorite parts about volunteering at KC Rescue is watching my daughter Isabelle, she is avid animal lover and hopes to become a vet so watching her grow and feed her ambitions has been an amazing experience for me, she is so good with all these cats and takes on all the tasks involved in her duties without hesitation and shows pride in her work I am so proud of her!!! Thank you KC Rescue for having us it has been a wonderful experience.
